About This Sustainable Packaging

Plaine Products was founded in February 2017 to reduce waste in bathrooms across the country by offering circular packaging in aluminum bottles that can be returned for reuse. In six years we have eliminated more than 625,000 plastic bottle from the waste stream.

Here’s how it works:

1. You order your preferred products.
2. When your bottles are low you order a refill, or you can subscribe and we’ll send the bottles automatically.
3. When the refills come you’ll switch the pumps over and send back the empty bottles in the refill box, Plaine Products covers the cost.
4. Then we clean and sterilize the bottles, refill them and reuse them.

Why We Chose It

The nice thing abut aluminum, as opposed to plastic, is that when it is eventually recycled (after going through as many wash and reuse cycles as possible), there’s no loss in quality. It just turns right back into more aluminum. When plastic is recycled it is downgraded into a lower form of plastic until it becomes unusable and ends up in a landfill or the ocean.

This product also ships sustainably!

We are currently working with the local office of Pratt Industries. Their award winning boxes are made from 100% recycled material and, because they are close to our headquarters, we’ve reduced our supply shipping footprint. Best of all, Pratt worked with us to develop boxes that eliminate the need for additional fill. They are strong enough to work for shipping refills and returning empty bottles to be refilled and reused. Because of their durability, we are able to use the boxes an average of five times before they are recycled. We use reinforced paper tape to seal the box to ensure they are able to be fully recycled when they can no longer be reused.

All of our unique formulas are carefully selected from nature’s most nutrient and vitamin rich plants, minerals, and renewable sources. They are blended and manufactured with care in Florida for Plaine Products.
