Why We Chose It

Did you know that 1.5 billion toothpaste tubes end up in the landfills or the oceans each and every year? That is an enormous number and we felt there had to be a better way! 

We noticed that some plastic toothpaste tubes were being made so they were recyclable, but those tubes are still likely to end up in the landfill due to most consumers simply tossing the tube into the trash when done with it. We wanted to change the status quo and eliminate plastic altogether.

By choosing tablets instead of traditional toothpaste, we were able to explore different packaging options! 

We ultimately chose aluminum because it is infinitely recyclable! Also, if it is not recycled properly, it is still better than plastic tubes because it will not create any micro-plastics, which can end up in our food.

Minti hopes to inspire other brands to think of ways to remove plastic from products that have always been packaged in plastic.

This product also ships sustainably!

We ship all our products in a corrugated box and we also use paper tape. No plastic tape or plastic padding materials!
